“The March issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Asuka fantasy magazine has announced on Saturday that three manga series will launch in the next issue on February 24, including a new Evangelion manga. Takumi Yoshimura is drawing Shin Seiki Evangelion: Ikari Shinji Tantei Nikki (Neon Genesis Evangelion: Shinji Ikari’s Detective Journal) in collaboration with Evangelion’s anime studios Gainax and Khara. The comedy re-imagines Shinji Ikari, the main character of the Evangelion story, as a detective.”

The final chapter (12) of the long running Eva manga will, at last, be released in July (in Japan).
The manga was released prior to the TV series in ‘94 to increase public interest, but has yet to conclude.
